Plug for the Autoheight Tool February 8, 2009

Posted by Ruzter in Assembly.

Some people will find this post boring but it is an example of doing something that I really enjoy and get a feeling of pride. I need to mount a plug and as you can see it isn’t round so it is not a case of just drilling a hole. As I build this home made CNC, I do get joy when I can do something that looks at least a bit professional.

First I do my usual trick of scribbling with a marker and then scribing the lines where I should cut. I used a small hack saw in this case so I could control the cut more than a dremel tool.

After the 2 main cuts, I used a dremel to make a groove for the bottom cut

The piece is then bent to break it out.

A little filing and fitting and Bob’s your uncle!
