Laser Aligner! (Yes I said LASER!) February 7, 2009

When you are preparing to cut some material on your CNC, you usually align the bit with one of the corners of the material as a stating point. I saw a great set up trick on a youtube video to make this easier, you mount a laser cross-hair on your CNC and then line that up instead. You set your machine to know exactly how far the cross-hairs are from your actual cutting bit. Here is the video:

I got my laser cross-hair on eBay (where else) for about $5 delivered.
