“Wild Raspberry” Table September 24, 2008

Tonight I finished painting the Mark II table for the Mark III CNC. On the first try I found out the hard way that if you weld to one side of a 2″ steel square tube, it WILL warp it, and not a little. I had the first table completely done and painted before I realized what had happened. The second attempt has the main frame bolted together with the legs welded to a separate piece of square tubing that is then bolted to the rest of the frame. The table is pretty square and has leveling feet welded to the bottom of the each leg. On a whim I decided to not just paint it black. After painting I realized the actual paint colour is “wild raspberry”. I also took the opportunity to paint the gantry pieces (shown sitting on top)
