This is a trivet, in other words a thing to put a hot pot on. The design is a hilbert curve, actually 4 hilbert curves connected to make the one continuous line. The wood is cherry.

I am interested to do this project on a cnc mill , but tell me one thing what is the use of doing such a curve(Hilbert).
What are the applications of such a component .
It looks cool.
well i want to do an academic project on cnc machines .
Im looking for some innovative designs which are both useful and have some uniquness.
