I was asked if I could make a “stock stop” for a biathlon rifle. Here is the original.
Designing the tool paths (the path the cutter takes) is always a challenge. I have started to using several software tools and sometimes good old Excel.
Here is what the tool path looks like:
The final part will be made of hardwood or UHMW.



What is a sling stop?
it attaches to the stock on a rail and to the sling. It positions where your forward hand is, I think. I will have to see how the piece is used once I finish!
